The Budget Process is a personal and private process that is best accomplished in person. Elán™ accomplishes this with the Budget Wheel, a tool of her own making, that explicitly outlines the expected cost of all aspects of the event.
Each event has its own character and creating a Budget Wheel is essential to inform all who are involved of the progress accomplished and possible challenges coming down the road. The most effective use of this tool comes when Elaine and her clients can meet with all the forms and worksheets completed.
You will need to know what kind of wedding you are wanting as there are a number of different types. They include; very formal, formal, semi-formal, informal, military, double
wedding, candlelight ceremony, outdoor and garden and at-home. Each type has its emphasis on different aspects of the event, and will create its own budget.
Example:
- A very formal wedding will require larger allocations for elaborate flowers, larger catering budgets and location rentals.
- A formal wedding is a bit less elaborate and can be held at more convenient locations.
- An informal wedding is even more flexible, allowing a more economical approach.
- Daytime, Nightime - Beachfront, Garden - Candlelight - each has different priorities and expenses.
