Before branching out into full service consulting for the wedding business, Elaine was a culinary educator and owner of a small catering company. In fact, she was a founding member of the Middle Tennessee Chapter of the American Culinary Federation. She holds two distinctions from these organization, one is The Bill James Award for Service and Education, and CE or Culinary Educator

Elanie enjoys advising the wedding couples with menus for pre-nuptial parties, rehearsal dinners, and receptions. Elaine stays abreast of the latest culinary trends and can recommend professionally licensed chefs or caterers. |

In the 1980's, Elaine studied and became certified with the National Association for Certified Wedding Consultants (NACWC).
When this organization dissolved, she joined the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) to continue education at their National, Regional, State and Local conferences. These networking experiences with world famous speakers such as Colin Cowie and Preston Bailey allows Elaine to stay ahead of the latest trends in the industry. |

Elaine is an active member of the Tennessee Wedding and Event Specialists Association. This active professional group sponsors wedding shows, advertizes in Bridal magazines and offers continuing education seminars. TWESA networks over 200 local wedding and event planners and vendors. Elaine has ofter given seminars for TWESA, especially her Budgeting workshop, and been a participant on Q&A panels at meeting discussions.

As her Consultant career progressed, Elaine added Destination Weddings to her active company programs. She joined the Association for Wedding Professionals, International (AFWPI) which has allowed for networking with wedding professionals from many countries. |

As a professional business person, Elaine maintains her membership in the BBB-Nashville Chapter |

This BBB membership is instrumental in screening vendors to make sure of their credentials.

As a member of GNH&LA, Elan has access to advising brides to have their weddings in hotels. Hotel members of GNH&LA are members of the Tennessee Hotel & Lodging Association (TH&LA). Elan had trained a number of hotel and catering staff within the last 10 years to handle wedding ceremonies in addition to their receptions. Elaine is in a great position to support the industry that supports her business and is able to network with over 70 hotels, hospitality venues and lodging leaders in the area.
